FRUITYLICIOUS

As you probably know Im collecting hilarious head pieces. I need them to brighten my days and to overcome fears, and because Anna Dello Russo encourages me to wear something that makes people stop and stare. I want to make an impact.

Yesterday I wore my golden cherries at uni and I had this amazing experience. While choosing food in the canteen a man comes towards me and asks where my hat is from. I told him I had made them myself, but of course inspired by Alan Journo and Piers Atkinson (the designers that actually makes Anna Dello Russo´s hats). He replies "I am Piers". I was in shock and I didn´t know what to say. I admire his work so much and I didn´t understand why he was at our uni. It was so out of context but of course very funny to meet such a talent. I told him I made them myself because his hats are too expensive and I believe he found it charming. He took a picture of me and I think he was kinda shocked, because when people start to wear and imitate a designers work it means the designer is doing the right thing.

My next project is gluing a head band to this bunch:

Of course inspired by Prada 2011:

I hope my bananas will be too much to handle for Norwegian eyes!

DIY: BRIGHT LEATHER

My latest DIY-project; a blue bag inspired by Jil Sander, and a red oversized clutch. Super easy to sew! I think I want these in every existing colour.

OFF TO BRIGHTON

Today we went to the beautiful Brighton, which is located on the coast of southern England. Sunny, warm and with my dear Alex of course - this has been one of the most beautiful days in England after I moved to this country.

I haven´t seen such a stylish couple in AGES!

Thank you Alexandra for an unforgetable day. You are unique.

SUNDAY STATEMENT

SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTIONS 2011 MEAN NOTHING ELSE BUT COLORS!

To me, the spring/summer 2011 collections are a manifesto to us that feel anxiety of being one of the crowd and who love to dress differently. I want to shock myself with vivid colors, be bold and I want to celebrate this new lush season. To me colours is not just colours, they are a statement on your attitude to life. My advise to everyone this season is to SHOCK yourself with brave colours - I GUARANTEE THEY WILL HAVE AN IMPACT ON YOUR MIND!

New pink trousers from Zara. I LOVE THEM.

SNOWY

This outfit could work as camouflage right now. And no, I don' think I'll ever dress appropriate for this weather! In my head, it has been spring for two months already. (No wonder I've caught a cold, hah.)

MRS APFEL

As I have mentioned before, I can find true inspiration among people from the older generation. They can have this genuine confidence and sense of style many younger human beings would kill for. Just take a look at Iris Apfel over here. She is a living proof of the fact that style is eternal.

This is what happens when I say to myself that I need to save money. I think I'm cursed.

BUSY DAYS

This term's hand-in date is tomorrow, and as I am a "last minute girl" I've been doing nothing but uni work the last week. The biggest assignment is a trend piece, where we were to pick a certain publication for our article and then write in its style and make a cover and layout to match. I've chosen The Guardian Weekend, and as you can see my trend is Traditional becoming trend. It has been an extremely interesting experience, learning that absolutely every single movement has its reasons and relates to our time of living of the most complex causes.

THERE AREN'T ENOUGH DAYS IN THE WEEKEND

Norway just turned into winter wonderland, yet again. Damnit. When will spring come knocking on my door? I can't wait to wear light jackets, walk around with sunglasses on the tip of my nose and just enjoy that the sun actually radiates real heat for the first time in many months (which feels like a century)!

I wish I was in Paris right now, glancing at all the inspiring people caught in the Fashion Week hysteria.

Oh, Sunday. I should be doing homework instead of blogging, but.. I can't help myself. Hah.

YOU JUST DON'T GET MORE FIERCE THAN THIS

My eternal, blissful love in Prada. If it wasn't for Anna Dello Russo, I wouldnt find motivation in my days of studying fashion.
